In February this year, Kagney Linn Karter (real surname Necessary) ended her own life.
When the news broke, I remembered seeing her interviewed by the British documetary maker Louis Theroux, for his 2012 film "Twilight of the Porn Stars". At that time, Kagney was at the height of her success in porn. She was articulate, clear-headed and had a medium-term plan for her career. At that time, she was living with her partner who was non-industry. By the following ear, that relationship had eded, and Kagney told an interviewer that she was no longer making long-term plans but she intended to stay another 2years at least in porn. Three years later, she was intervewed by the same outlet, and her answers indicated a certain tiredness. She said she had with drawn from social media and was not attending the AVNs that year. However, she continued to do studio scenes and pole dance on the side.
Kagney Linn remained in the industry at least part-time. By early this year, she was credited with over 1,000 scenes with 117 women and 134 men. By any standards, this was an accomplished career.
This week, a friend sent me the film below, a compilation of BTS footage from ten of her films in her early career (2009 to 2016). Watching her in these clips was bittersweet, but it as easy to see what a lovel person she was, and how she took things in her stride and didn't take herself too seriously. We also saw her pride at being a Penthouse Pet in June 2012, onthe cover of Hustler in October 2012, and winning an AVN Award for Best Newcomer in 2010,

After Kagney Linn's passing there have been derogatory comments made by some people here and on other sites. I can't for the life of me understand how a person ho watches porn regularly could disrespec a person like her in these circumstances, call her names and say she was stupid. Thospeople need to look at themselves, and follow the old rule, if you don't have anything good to say about a person that has died, then just say nothing.
