MY FORMAL INTRODUCTION

I am Ahahita Sharma, a 21-year-old student living in New Delhi. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations at Hindu College, University of Delhi (Class of 2026), along with a minor in Civil Administration from Jamia Millia Islamia. I was born in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and my academic interests and personal values shape my political and social beliefs.

Politically, I advocate for state secularism, capitalist democracy, and the importance of an independent judiciary. I believe these are the pillars of a strong, progressive, and fair society. In my view, the government should remain neutral in matters of religion, ensuring that every citizen of Bharat — regardless of whether they are religious, atheist, or spiritual — is treated with equal respect and opportunity. I strongly support civil unity, tolerance, and the inclusion of diverse communities, and believe that India can only prosper if these values are upheld.
As a secular Hindu, I believe that religion is deeply personal and should never be used to divide or control people by state. Religion should remain separate from politics, as it is harmful when faith is manipulated for political purposes. I oppose any form of religious fundamentalism and extremism, such as the ideologies propagated by Sanghis(Hindu extremists) and Islamists(Muslim extremists), as they promote hatred and division among people. A clear historical example of how religious manipulation can lead to devastating consequences is the partition of India, which caused immense suffering and division by exploiting religious identities.

I believe in private religious practice where individuals can freely follow their faith without imposing it on others or disturbing public harmony. I see God as universal, whether called Allah, Krishna, or by any other name, and hold the view that all religions at their core promote love, peace, and unity.

Additionally, I value inter-religious relationships, particularly between Hindu girls and Muslim guys, as they represent a beautiful symbol of unity and mutual respect between different communities. For me, such relationships are a testament to the idea that religion should unite people, not divide them.

In terms of education and personal growth, I believe that progressive education — one that emphasizes both a scientific temperament and cultural values — is key to building a prosperous nation. Education should cultivate a rational and open-minded approach, while still respecting the rich ethical and cultural heritage of India.

In summary, I stand for a unified, inclusive, and progressive Bharat, where religious and personal freedoms are respected, where politics serves the people, and where education fosters growth for all citizens.

Jai Siya Ram , Jai Hind , Bharat Mata ki Jai

Thank You

Ahahita Sharma
