The Flautist. Part Twelve

Michelle was lying in bed in complete darkness.

The brilliant invention of the persianas, which completely blocked out the sun, allowed for a midday siesta. There was no light in the room, and although it was still warm, it was considerably colder than outside.

No matter how long Michelle stayed there, her eyes could not adjust to the darkness. She couldn't see anything, only hear and feel.

What she heard was a breath. Not just her own, there was another. She could also feel that breath on the inside of her thighs. She could feel kisses and hear pecks.

She was grateful for darkness. She touched herself gently, running her fingertips over her skin. She could tap her hard nipples lightly, feeling pleasure all the way down her spine, feeling wetness inside her.

Michelle spread her legs wide but comfortably, aroused. She surrendered to the small tongue she could feel. Her naked body responded. Every kiss, every lick gave Michelle a new nugget of excitement that added up to euphoria. She cupped her breasts and arched her back with a silent cry.

She felt the warm weight on her as she fell back onto the bed. Jo slid on top of her, kissed her cheek and moved back. Michelle reached out in the darkness, found a breast and pulled it gently to her mouth. A soft sound confirmed Jo's pleasure.

The tiny girl withdrew further, lifting Michelle's leg. Jo humped Michelle's other thigh, cuddling the leg facing the roof, her arms wrapped around it, pulling it towards her chest. Michelle, excited, could feel the wet trail on her tigh and her lover's perky breasts touching her other leg.

"I wish I could see you now," Michelle whispered.

"Don't let me fall," Jo said, gripping Michelle's leg even tighter and stretching towards the window. She only managed to make a slit, but even with that small amount of light, both girls' eyes were blinded. After a moment of adjustment, Michelle looked at Jo, who was enjoying herself with a seductive smile. Lying on her back, Michelle felt exposed in the light and envied Jo's ability to just be herself. For Jo, her nakedness and excitement were so natural - Michelle was different. She blushed as Jo looked down at her chest, and blushed even more as she felt a surge of pleasure.

Jo dropped down on the bed next to Michelle, touching her gently and cupping her breast in her hand.

"I have to go now," the petite girl said. "I'm tired of Barcelona. All this travelling, you know. Can't we move to Madrid?"

"You know I can't. Here is my ensemble and here is my work. I am sorry you cannot find anything here. But I have worked all my life to be part of this ensemble and I would stick to it. I cannot commute from Madrid to Bracelona twice a day".

"Yes, I know . . . at least I only travel a few times a month. But it would be nice to hold you in my arms . . . Instead I have to hold my ticket. How do I look?"

Michelle smiled. Lil Jo looked good. Michelle wanted nothing more than to hold her in her arms, but they had to give each other some freedom. There was no point in stopping Jo from her own path in life.

Kate looked at Beni who was sitting next to her.

"You didn't fasten your seatbelt. The thing is screaming at you."

The alarm did indeed sound. Beni quickly pushed the belt into the slot and there was silence. Kate drove on. Just after the first corner, she became anxious. Something was wrong. It was not stage fright, not yet. Her performance with Beni would be fine - except for the problem of getting there. Traffic was heavy.

"Go down the river and take the bridge road," Beni advised. Kate did so and soon had to take the exit. She saw the queue too late. She looked in the mirror. There were two cars behind her and the last one was driving in reverse. Then the one directly behind her. Two hundred metres backwards to the exit, to take the chance of avoiding the traffic by taking the next drive. The two cars made it, but before Kate was halfway there, there was a light, pulsating, red and blue.

"Damn. Bad luck." Kate unbuttoned her shirt and began to flutter her eyelashes.

"For every woman, I hate you, Kate."

"It's for the greater good."

"Call your horses back, dear, the officer is female. If she catches you trying this, we are doomed."

Kate had not even touched her button when there was a knock at the window.

"Good evening, madam. May I ask what you were doing?"

"Good evening, Officer. I must confess I was trying to get out of this traffic jam."

"Why? What is the purpose of the rush?"

Kate looked at Beni who was leaning towards the left window.

"We're going to the Professor's concert. We can't be late." Beni resorted to the truth.

"The Professor? I see. But is it worth the risk?"

"Sorry, I was not clear. We are both professional musicians and this event is his anniversary concert. We are privileged to have been chosen to perform in his honour. Without us, everything is ruined. We have to be there.

The officer looked around and thought. She studied the traffic jam in front of her. Then she went back to her car. Soon she returned, put something on the roof of Kate's car and handed the blonde a cable.

"Plug it into the lighter socket."

As soon as Kate did so, she saw the blue light flashing from her roof.

"You will follow me. Try to stay as close as you can. I know where you are going."

She walked back to her car, overtook Kate's, turned on all the lights and sirens and attacked the traffic in front of her. Kate, paying close attention, was glued to the bumper of the police car.

When they reached the venue, the policewoman took back the lights and said::

"I was hoping to attend this concert tonight, but as you can see, this is my watch. Please give my regards to the Professor from Eveline, the cellist. Don't ask. Bloody accident . . . hard recovery . . . life . . . never mind. Glad I could help. A bocca di lupo."

Kate and Beni looked at each other, unable to move.

"We'll never tell anyone about this."

"Never," Beni crossed her heart.

"No one would believe us."

"No! That did not happen."

"Damn, if it was in a book, I would call the author a lunatic."

"Definitely. Now let's get ready. We have a gala concert to perform."

***

Kate was tired but satisfied. She looked at the girl half asleep beside her. The subtle face was lit by the warm soda light and faded back into darkness as they passed the street lamps.

Beni, as fragile as the willow, as strong as the flower in full bloom. Her fragility was an illusion, the girl had inner strength and a heart of steel. And her violin, a unique instrument made in Germany, with different proportions to the classical Italian instruments. Once Kate saw Benigna in her black trousers and body-hugging sweater, with her violin in her hand, and Kate would swear that the violin was modelled after Beni's figure. And her sound! Strong, rounded, authoritative. Her understanding of the music was immediate and profound. But she had her human side too. In rehearsals, Kate witnessed the doubts and struggles so inseparable from the art. At the same time, she saw the violinist's eyes light up when she found solutions. Beni was happiest when she knew what she had to do (and why). Then nothing could stop her. Her path was clear, her quest was set, and she was sure to follow it. No wonder Paul fell in love with her as soon as Kate and Michelle took him to Beni's concert.

"Beni?"

"Yes . . . ?"

"Sleeping?"

"No . . . "

"Would you go to Madrid with me?"

"I'm dating Paul. You know that."

"Wake up, I have been offered a master class in Madrid and I would like to make it more of a chamber music oriented thing. I need a partner."

"When?"

"Next week."

"Sorry, I'm out. Prior commitments."

"Oh."

"Kate?"

"Hm?"

"Michelle's in Barcelona now. Give her a call, she might be available . . . "

pantheredesneiges : Chan, thank you for the lovely comment.I have to confess I struggled with this chapter for weeks, the first part was the most difficult part to write. I am so glad you liked it, my efforts are rewarded.

"Kate would swear that the violin was modelled after Beni's figure. And her sound! Strong, rounded, authoritative".
This short excerpt alone makes you want to read the complete chapter... and more !
And the first part, with Michelle and Jo, is like a movie scene, with its play of persianas.
I suppose that the paths of these young women will eventually cross at a moment. But where?
