10 years of great lesbian erotica

It's now 2013 and I realize that 2003 was actually a very significant year in the timeline of lesbian erotica. Probably the culmination of the transition between the ancient dark age (when girl-girl scenes were shot the same way as mainstream straight ones, except that they were cock-free) and our current golden age. ♥ First of all, the release of Viv Thomas' Pink Velvet, which I consider a monumental milestone in the history of lesbian movies. I believe that it changed the industry forever, nothing could be the same after that. For many of us it was the occasion to discover delightful Hungarian models, girls like Jo, Lisa, Ella, Eve Angel. Of course the acting was quite clumsy, mainly because of the language, but it was not without charm.

Oh yes she was. She was a major figure of lesbian porn in the late 90s (as much as Felicia btw). But it was quite another era, when lesbian scenes were cast in about the same mould as mainstream porn. Jeanine was an expert in having incredibly wild sex with girls, but she didn't really make love to them.

It's great that somebody took the time to write a blog about this very important year. I consider myself an historian of Girlfriends Films but I didn't know half the things you shared in this blog. I had no idea that AW's legendary Girls in Love was shot in 2003, just like I didn't know that WLT was created on that year, great stuff. I remember years ago, before I discovered Girlfriends Films, I was addicted to SapphicErotica's beautiful videos. Back then they were great, they knew how to create amazing pairings and the girls they hired for these scenes were out of this world, all of them were simply perfect and so beautiful. I also remember downloading Pink Velvet on limewire ( lol what a relic ) around that time, I still remember the scene where the two young brunettes are tribbing like crazy, that was my favorite part of the movie. For a short time I was a fan of WLT, that's when I discovered many great stars like Lux Kassidy. Good times. Outstanding blog. Hopefully a lot of people will read it.
