How to Determine Fake and Spam Profiles
As some of you may know I have been having a lot of success lately in getting fake and spam profiles removed from the website. I have also been receiving a lot of comments and messages from people wanting to know how eyespot them . To me it’s just common sense but I thought I would write it down
1. If an individual has been on the website for less than 24 hours but has close to the limit of friends there something wrong with that in it needs to be checked out…
2. f a person uses a website for their name location and bio section and or if they direct you to a WebCam on a website other than X hamster most likely a scam profile
3. if a person knows a lot of languages like I’m talking all of the languages possible there’s something definitely wrong with that
4. this person only has an avatar and no other content but yet they have thousands of friends most likely fake.
Note one of these criteria don’t make a profile necessarily spam but I will report and fight it without regrets
how to report fake/span profiles and see results
1. Flag the accounts using the little icon at the top of the page
2. posts your suspicions on the profile itself to alert other users
3. block the spammer from accessing your profile that way you can monitor when website does something.
4. Copy the URL from the address bar in click the contact button on the bottom of the page under help section
5 put the URL in your status so people will know
6. when the contact box opens put in your information and at least the address you used to register on the website then go down to the drop-down menu click on abuse and then click on profile just put in the URL by clicking paste then just put in the comments section spam profile it may take a few days to see results but it works almost all the time if they are legitimately fake profiles.
Contrary to popular belief and some rumors that are going around I do not work for the website although that would be a great job for me LOL … I really like this community for the most part for the most part people are legitimately here for some fun… I just hate seeing it being abused by people that don’t truly love and don’t enjoy the service that is provided here… Also I do not have the ultimate say in who gets removed and who does not contrary to a hugely malicious rumor
