Read - Impotant info re: embedded videos on xHamst
PLEASE read this. All of it. And be aware, the FBI Virus has shown up on many files here on XRMXX.
The "FBI Virus" is a very, very dangerous virus that can cause you to lose your computer. If you get it opening a file on XRMXX, DO NOT TOUCH IT, don't click on anything in it. I did a couple years back and lost my desk top computer, every thing on it.
IF YOU GET IT, it won't even let you close the window, so don't try. You can try accessing task-manager and see if it will close from there. But do not click on ANYTHING on the screen. If Task-manager can't close it, then turn off your computer, start in safe mode and then do a COMPLETE virus and malware scan. After doing so, for safety you can do a system restore to a point before it popped up.
Sad to say, I have had to go through this process four times in the last two weeks on XRMXX. Which really, really surprises me.
One of the reasons I chose XRMXX for my "Adult Pleasures Home" was unlike some of the sites I'd visited in the past, I never, NEVER got a redirect or a virus alert on XRMXX. I found most of anything I was looking for on here, and I considered it a safe place to house my own collections.
And for two and a half years, I never had so much as a blip from XRMXX. Oh, sure, things like favorites would disappear for a while, during server updates I assume, because they always came back. It has been a very, very safe.
Until two weeks ago. As I said, I have gotten it four times. And, I have also gotten redirects - you click on what should be a member's video but instead get transferred to an off XRMXX site web with teaser videos.
It seemed to me these things occurred when I opened up a "related Videos" post that was beneath what I was watching. Not on anything posted by an XRMXX friend. Not yet, anyway.
I am no computer wiz, so I don't know if the malicious software was uploaded by someone who set up accounts just to load on trojans or if folks got hacked. I DO know that twice I put a warning about the FBI Virus in my status update, and it disappeared within 24 hours.
Until I know if this is resolved, I will not check videos unless they are uploaded by someone already on my friend's list. I'd suggest you do the same. And follow all the usual precautions: change your password regularly, run daily virus and malware scans, do not open embedded links in comments and be cautions about going to many levels in your surfing.
