Venus in Chains.
Venus in Chains
Another month... another book! My latest offering is another collection of short stories continuing the theme of “The Dark Side of Venus.” This new collection is called “Venus in Chains”... a reference to Leopold von Sacher-Masoch's “Venus in Furs” from where we derive the term “masochism”.
In common with the Dark Side, the new collection is a compendium of stories that I first penned for the entertainment of XRMXX readers. Some of the stories may be familiar to regular visitors to my page. Others are a little less well known or even long forgotten. There was no point in them reclining in neglected obscurity in the pages of my blog or taking up space on my hard drive when they could be out there earning money! In any case they were worthy of a larger readership I thought.
The collection includes the very first story I wrote for XRMXX some years ago now. There is also the story “Academy Bridge” regarded by some of my readers as one of my finest short stories, as well as the disgraceful shaggy dog story “A Bad Day at the Colosseum” and several others. This collection has been selected on the basis of its BDSM content though it ranges from pretty explicit stuff to humorous takes on it and some gentler, even romantic sides of the genre.
It's a nice collection for all that and any aficionado of BDSM literature would enjoy it I think. Please take a look or, better yet, buy it. I would hope that it is good value for money. I don't release anything for publication that I don't think is of high enough standard and I would say that this collection is a typical sample of my works and includes some classic favourites from my blogs.
I apologise if I seem to be so relentlessly mercenary in pushing my writing for sale. I can only say in my defence that, for years, I produced all this stuff for free and hard work it was too. It was my friends on XRMXX that finally nagged me into becoming a full time professional writer. A little over a year ago I bit the bullet and took their advice. Since then I've essentially been living on boiled dish rag and dreams.... the New York Times best-seller list remains as elusive as ever! Nevertheless it has been a wonderful adventure but, if I sometimes sound desperate to sell my books, it's because if I don't sell, I don't eat!
So please (pretty please) pick up one of my books. In return I promise to maintain the same high standard of writing my readers on here have come to recognise and to do all that I can to transport you into the fantasy worlds of my overly fertile imagination.
Loads of love
