Why I won't "thumbs down"
The one thing about a site like this, where people can give a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" is this: sex, and person's preference for it, varies so much from one person to another that this sort of rating is almost useless.
It's useless because there is no reason given for the particular vote. A "thumbs down" rating is just so general and ambiguous. Is the voter rating the content of the vid, or the quality of the recording? Is the vote due to the personal preference of the viewer versus the depictions in the video? Is it that the title is misleading? Is it that the cock in the video is too small, or a pussy perceived to be too big?
Without knowing the reason for the vote, a "thumbs down" does nothing to help either the poster or those viewing the content in determining actual good content from bad. It may, in fact, deter people from viewing videos that may be extremely erotic and sexy. After all, with so much content, why waste your time in vids with a thumbs down or two?
The last reason (for me, anyway) is that I appreciate all of those who post original, non-commercial (as in amateur) content, and I believe giving those videos a thumbs down may deter some from posting more.
Of course there are exceptions, such as videos that have the majority of votes in the negative due to either extremely poor quality footage or other blatantly evident reason. That does happen, indeed. But the typical vid where the quality is sufficient, the content is ethical (for me that means no v******e, c***dren, a****ls, or necro), I will pass on voting as opposed to giving a thumbs down.
I don't like s**t vids, as an example, but I won't vote a s**t vid negatively based solely on the fact that it's a s**t vid. It may be a very good video to those who enjoy that sort of thing. Instead, I will just abstain from voting and move on to the next video.
Bear in mind, this is just my opinion, and those are like assholes, for sure.....
This may be more intellectual of a blog post for a porn site, but I guess it's kind of my way of saying "thanks for sharing," and I'll probably never give you a "thumbs down!"
